These wood slices are classified as seconds due to cosmetic or dimensional imperfections, making them ideal for craft projects, classrooms and kids.  They offer fantastic value.

What we mean by “seconds”

All of our wood slices go through quality control. Pieces that don’t meet the standard for our full-price products are offered here at a reduced price.

Common characteristics of seconds may include one or more of the following:

• Bark missing or coming off
• Cut unevenly (or thicker/thinner than normal)
• Cracked/split (but never fully broken)
• Misshapen/elongate slices
• Side branch nubs
• Discoloured/markings on surface

Even as seconds, slices are not completely broken, mouldy, or unusable.
